I am so pissed! I have bought and used this program for over 20 years, ........ yup, TWENTY years and have never had any issues. For some strange reason, this years software has been nothing but grief to say the least. I called Turbo Tax and the lady told me that if I do this and this it should work. I t did work until I closed the program and later that day tried to re-open it and it was back to its old tricks. I was on hold for 42 minutes - that's right...42 minutes. (2nd call) So, I call turbo tax and the second lady tells me that I should have done a re-boot so I did it again and re-booted the system. It did not work. (Surprise) I was on hold again for 38 minutes. (3rd phone call) The lady sends me an email with a patch for it. I load the patch ...guess what...it still did not work. On hold for 24 minutes) (4th phone call) Now I am truly pissed. This lady asks for my phone number and when she discovers I live in Canada she says......... are you ready.........I have to call the Canadian support line. SO, I ask her for that number and she had to go and look it up and puts me on hold. Finally she gets me a number that is supposed to lead me to someone who can help me. I dial this number only to find out that this number is NO LONGER IN SERVICE. That's right - NO LONGER IN SERVICE. HELLO!!!!!!! (no pun intended) I go to the website, I find a number but it another number that is not valid ...what ever that means. I think for a few minutes and decide to call 411 to see if they have a number in Canada for Intuit and she gave me a number in Toronto. I dial that number but all it does is ring about 14 - 15 times and then all of a sudden it just gives you a busy signal ???? No real human being picked up the call and no automated recording either. Currently, my husband has gone to the store to get me a new disc in hopes that this one might just be faulty and a new one might resolve the problem. I have other people who depend on me and 3 customers I have done the books on for several years and then their tax returns at the end of the year. I would like to get these done as it generates some cash. I also have 3 or 4 other companies who are also single proprietorships who use my services as well. Just to be clear, I did an upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10 and therefore I had my computer tech check out my system to make sure it was running correctly and he said it was fine that it was running like a charm. I have no problems with any other program on my computer. My husband just called me from the store and said he had just talked to a technician in the store and he recommended that I go to Intuit web site and download it from there. Yes, I will have to pay for it, but at this point I just want to get my *** work done. I might be sorry for even thinking this, but, ... just maybe that will work as this disc might be faulty, or, possibly due to the fact that it is made in the USA and their government rules are different than Canada's, it may be reason that it is not working. As we all know, not everything you buy of the store shelf is good for you.If it does turn out to be government issues then I would love to sue the *** of these guys. BOTTOM LINE, what a mess !!!!! Right now I hate Turbo Tax and feel I am entitled to some sort of justification from Intuit who owns Turbo Tax.
