Intuit in Pleasanton, California - Less than ZERO customer service

their service is getting worse and worse each year. bought a cd, but needed the download. I've been trying for over 3 hours now. I've done their online "service", but I keep getting emails that my product # is wrong, but its correct. One customer agent HUNG Up on me. Finally got some one to talk to me. over 45 minutes to prep a download! Why???? In this day and age they don't have a downloadable program????? I just saw that Bob Parsons is on the board of the company. That explains it all. Everything he touches is *** He is great marketer of *** products.

Intuit - CPA USING 2018 PROSERIES

After installation in late Jan 2019 I found that I could not efile or priint a client's return. After 2 days on phone calls and IT help it turned out the program is so poorly written that it takes more memory then a 32 bit operating system is capable of handling. Despite ProSeries own system memory requirements. Proseries suggest removing the 1040NR program files or the 1040 program files! Guess I'm due a refund since I purchased the 1040 and 1040NR.

Intuit - Discrepency in info and they want me to pay to tell them

I am very agitated. According to turbotax my federal and state tax return has been accepted however when I check federal website and federal telephone line it says it has not been received. I have tried to call turbotax and obviously I cant. I don't think I should should have to pay to upgrade my services so I can let them know there is a discrepancy between what their website says and what the government says. I can not even email them and have to post this in the community. This just might be the last year I use turbotax

I have been using various accounting programs since 1999. Here is my advice to SMALL, "mom and pop" businesses or businesses which do less than 500K per year and don't want to spend a lot on bookkeeping.

First. STAY AWAY from all "cloud based" accounting solutions. They are more trouble then they are worth. Second.

Don't get ANY accounting program that requires that you get a new version every year or two. Third. Don't buy quickbooks or any Intuit products unless it is an old version like 1999 or 2000. (my reasons for this piece of advice would take forever to explain...you'll just have to trust me).

Fourth. If you want a FREE accounting program then download "Gnucash". Only problem with "Gnucash" is that it is not particularly "user friendly". Fifth.

The IDEAL solution is to get an old copy of "Peachtree" (between 1999 and 2012). Only problem there is that you would need to register it and that would probably require the seller having the serial #, registration # and customer # which is not very likely. And finally, when you do get your old copy of quickbooks or peachtree...use it on an "offline" computer. Never hook the computer to the internet or you are asking for trouble.

Instead just use a flash drive for your reports, ect. and transfer them to an "online" computer when you want to email them.
