Intuit in Mountain View, California - Billing for Canceled Service

Intuit Quickbooks does not care about their customers or relationships based on their actions. I accidentally purchased the wrong product 6 months ago. Within 5 minutes of the error, I attempted to cancel the purchase online. I called Intuit to confirm my cancellation and was told that I had successfully canceled and would not be billed. They have been billing me for 5 months, for a service that I was assured had been canceled. Intuit refuses to refund a mere $87.50 that has been billed to date. I have two other products through Intuit, which I pay for monthly, and Intuit has knowingly risked a great business relationship and cancellation of other subscription services over such a small amount. Not the way to do business, Intuit!

Unauthorized credit card charge by Intuit

I just found out an unauthorized credit card transaction for the amount of $99.99. What the *** is this? I may have purchased TurboTax in the previous years. But how could they charge me for something that I never ordered neither do I know what it is.

Intuit - Turbotax is a scam

I could not complete my 2017 tax return correctly because of a glitch in their webform. I was forced to either pay to upgrade, so I could "talk to a tax expert" or ditch everything and start over. I chose to pay, with the fee to be taken from my refund. There was no possible way to "speak with a tax expert". No contact information whatsoever anywhere on their site. Just the phone number of the IRS and a user help forum option, where other confused tax filers can give you " advice". I ended up filing with two known errors after spending 5-6 hours on their site. The next day I googled their contact information and told them I did not want to be charged, as I was unable to file correctly. They said they could not refund my payment until it was paid from my return. On the day my refund was scheduled to arrive, I received a letter from IRS to send additional forms. I called Turbotax again, was told I had to pay more for the forms and to refile. I declined and printed the forms myself. Then, I contacted TurboTax again because I wanted to make sure that their fee was not taken from my bank account, since I had still not received refund and was disputing their fee. They arranged to not withdraw fee, but still would not agree not to charge for the service I did not receive and incorrect forms filed by them. Almost 4 months from when I originally filed, I received my refund via direct deposit, minus their fee and an additional $35 charge from Santa Barbara Tax Bank! I called Turbotax, with my 6 case numbers and argued with a supervisor for 35 minutes, until she finally agreed to send me a check for their fee only. I have tried to dispute bank fee by calling the bank, with no success in talking to a person, just looped through automated system and placed on endless holds. I tried to see if my bank could do anything- no. Nightmare experience for a simple return! Scam. No contact number, fraudulently selling expert advice, hidden fees, no recourse for resolving issues or disputes.

I am seriously tired of Intuit forcing us to upgrade every other year by blocking services. They should have to support software for at least 5 years. It started with Quickbooks email, unless you paid for one of the extra services they blocked you from using their email. Now they have blocked the bank feed. You can’t even manually import the information. Totally bad customer service. This is blackmail. We need to initiate a class action lawsuit. They need to let you manually import your banking information manually. This is accounting software. Their support is in the Philippines and its almost impossible to understand what they are saying.

Intuit - 2016 Tax Return file is not accessible.

I am using the downloaded desktop version. I have used TT for many years. In 2016, I could not file my return because I was waiting on a K-1. Otherwise I had finished the return. I saved the file and filed an extension in April and now I can't pull up the TURBOTAX return to finish and file. It is just gone. I also noticed that the 2015 return is no longer on the desktop file in which I had originally saved it. When I pull up the TT program on my desktop, it appears as if there are no files as if it had just been downloaded. Not sure what they are trying to accomplish with this, but if I have to completely re-construct my return, it *** well will not be with TT.

Details
TurboTax advertises money back guarantee, however that applies is very narrow circumstances. Turbotax Online had a systemic error tat caused a long delay in my state tax return processing, and I eventually had to re-file it manually. No refund from Turbotax even though the error was due to their system. Also, no help when trying to get the problem resolved.

I got intuit cos a friend ask to do she can have money get to her. They submitted $4000. And now it's up to $8000.35 which they never pulled the money out as I was told by them. Now there ruining my credit and changes that I did not make there a bid ripoff. Caution Do Not Use Them!

Intuit - Unable to file electronically OR with a paper copy

Turbotax cannot explain why all of our e-file transmission attempts are "cancelled" by their system, with no reason or error given. We were told that we would have to file a paper return. Problem is - every time I try to print or even pdf the return documents, the program crashes. Nothing can get to the printer. We are unable to get the information necessary to file out of the Turbotax system by any means. Tomorrow we will print blank IRS forms and copy each line and number from the worksheets that (at least for now) are available. Count us as longtime Turbotax users who will not be purchasing any services from Intuit in the future.
